Richmond Family Law and Criminal Defense Attorney
Roxanne C. Millan, Esquire is a resident of Richmond, Virginia. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Louisiana, Monroe and was a Chancellor’s Scholar as a first year law student while attending Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After relocating with her family, she completed her juris doctor from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. While in law school she was chosen to participate in the publication of the Richmond Journal of Law and the Public Interest as the Lead Articles Editor, Volume XX. Roxanne was presented with the Orrell-Brown Award for Clinical Excellence in the Children’s Law Center.
Roxanne is a member of the Virginia State Bar, as well as its Family and Criminal Law Sections. She also maintains membership in the Metro Richmond Women’s Bar Association, and looks forward to serving active roles both in these bar associations and the greater Richmond community. During law school, she interned with the Ouachita Parish District Attorney in Louisiana, served as a student attorney in the University of Richmond’s Family Law Clinic and Children’s Defense Clinic. Roxanne spent her summers interning with a family law firm, focusing on complex custody and divorce issues.
Roxanne C. Millan prides herself on being an empathetic and compassionate trial lawyer, tailoring legal courses of action for each client’s specific need. She strives to maintain a close relationship and frequent contact with each client throughout the legal process. Roxanne’s empathy also compels her to give back to the community—as is evidenced by her past involvement with Baton Rouge THRIVE, Relay for Life, Race for the Cure, Life Share Blood Centers, and Wills for Seniors. Roxanne looks forward to becoming more involved in the Richmond Community as she settles into her post-educational career. In her spare time, Roxanne enjoys travelling with her family and learning new languages. She speaks fluent German and basic Spanish.
